Hi it’s Sean from Frontline Telephone Answering Service. I thought that I would talk about the tools that I have used to help with Social Media Marketing.

The first tool that I use is TweetDeck. TweetDeck allows users to manage their social media accounts from one place. Also if you have more than one Twitter account you can manage them both at the same time. One of the best things that you can do on TweetDeck is schedule messages and you can choose what accounts you want the messages to go to. TweetDeck also displays updates such direct messages on Twitter or new photo posts on Facebook. The only problem with TweetDeck is that you have to install it onto your computer. This is only a problem if you are on the go and using different machines to access you social media accounts.

There are alternatives to TweetDeck one of which is Hootsuite. In many ways Hootsuite is similar to TweetDeck, the main difference is that Hootsuite is an internet based application and is suited more for people that are on the move and work from different computers. I personally prefer TweetDeck because I prefer the layout and it is more integrated for with Facebook.

Another useful tool is SocialOomph in many ways it is like Hootsuite and TweetDeck but it is more focused on Twitter. Two of the best things that this application can do for you are auto-follow and send welcome messages to new followers. This means that your Twitter account needs less maintenance and it allows you to focus on content. Another interesting feature is that you can make an extended profile for your Twitter account so people can read more about you or your business. Also if you chose to upgrade your account SocialOomph will search on Twitter for people to add based on keywords that you have specified.

The last application that I will talk about today is Twitterfeed. Twitterfeed is very useful because you can use this to auto-post blogs from your site to Twitter and Facebook. The tool also allows you to review how many people have responded to your posts by clicking on the link to your blog.

By using these tools you can save yourself time and focus more on your content strategy. It is worth having a play with the different tools out there as there are a lot more than the ones that I have mentioned.

Thanks, Sean
